Dans le cadre du Programme Just Future Alliance (JFA), « l’Observatoire pour la Gouvernance de la Sécurité (OGS) », en collaboration avec l’African Security Sector Network (ASSN), a engagé un processus de monitoring citoyen de la situation sécuritaire au Niger dont l’objectif est d’évaluer l’état de la gouvernance de la sécurité dans les régions de Tillabéri, Tahoua et Maradi.
Le dispositif mis en place pour ce monitoring est composé des points focaux locaux situés dans les communes d’intervention du programme qui font remonter des données, elles-mêmes ensuite centralisées et traitées au niveau national.
Ce neuvième rapport de monitoring est ainsi rédigé, sur la base des informations sécuritaires recensées par les points focaux de l’OGS dans 8 communes des 3 régions suivantes : Maradi (Dakoro, Guidan-Sori et Gabi), Tahoua (Kao et Tillia) et Tillabéri (Torodi, Abala, Ayérou), dont les informations sont recoupées et conjuguées avec d’une part, les Bulletins d’information hebdomadaires des Forces de Défense et de Sécurité du Niger, et d’autre part, les données relevées par l’ONG Armed Conflict Location & Event Data (ACLED) , partenaire de l’ASSN. Les informations relayées dans les médias, notamment nigériens, sont aussi mobilisées.

As part of the Just Future Alliance (JFA) program, the Observatory for Security Governance (OGS), in collaboration with the African Security Sector Network (ASSN), has launched a citizen monitoring process of the security situation in Niger, with the aim of assessing the state of security governance in the regions of Tillabéri, Tahoua, and Maradi.
The monitoring system consists of local focal points located in the program’s target municipalities, which collect data that is then centralized and processed at the national level.
This ninth monitoring report is based on security information collected by OGS focal points in eight municipalities in the following three regions: Maradi (Dakoro, Guidan-Sori, and Gabi), Tahoua (Kao and Tillia), and Tillabéri (Torodi, Abala, and Ayérou). This information is cross-checked and combined with, on the one hand, the weekly newsletters of the Niger Defense and Security Forces, and with data collected by the NGO Armed Conflict Location & Event Data (ACLED), a partner of the ASSN. Information reported in the media, particularly in Niger, is also used.
