En collaboration avec LAAM nous avons le plaisir de présenter la série “Groupes armés” avec une première étude infographique sur “l’État Islamique en République démocratique du Congo”.
Depuis son allégeance à l’État islamique en 2019, le groupe rebelle ougandais ADF a intensifié ses actions en République démocratique du Congo (RDC) sous la bannière de l’ISCAP (Province d’Afrique centrale de l’EI). Multipliant massacres, enlèvements et attentats-suicides, il s’est enraciné dans l’est du pays tout en élargissant ses réseaux transnationaux.
Cette infographie décrypte l’évolution historique du groupe, sa structuration interne, ses stratégies de financement, ainsi que ses liens ambigus avec les dynamiques locales et régionales de violence.

In collaboration with LAAM, we are pleased to present the series “Armed Groups” with a first infographic study on “The Islamic State in the Democratic Republic of Congo.”
Since pledging allegiance to the Islamic State in 2019, the Ugandan rebel group ADF has intensified its operations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) under the banner of ISCAP (Islamic State Central Africa Province). Through massacres, abductions, and suicide bombings, it has entrenched itself in the country’s east while expanding its transnational networks.
This infographic unpacks the group’s historical evolution, internal structure, financing strategies, and its ambiguous ties to local and regional dynamics of violence.
