GCST is a network of SSR institutions formed by the ASSN and five other organisations located in different regions of the world. GCST strives to build strong relationships between regional networks, linking researchers and practitioners and focusing on both south-south and south-north links.
It facilitates the sharing of research findings and policy lessons among regional networks, promotes cross-regional research, fosters evidence-based policy dialogue and by reaches out to a broad range of policy constituencies not normally considered in security analysis and policy-making.
